Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

The BASTARDS strips

I know i've posted this about 5 times before, but does ANYONE have even a slight idea of who has them? Might be Doug or Andrew but neither of them are online much.

Any ideas?? We might need them sooner rather than later (a comeback is on the cards)

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Are new players welcome?

Re: The BASTARDS strips

SO did I,I've just turned fifty

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I haven't yet retired but an injury has ruined my season and I would very much so enjoy playing for the legendary BASTARDS.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

your too young bb

Re: The BASTARDS strips

New players are welcome, if we find our kit...

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I thought Gordon had it?

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Gordon dosent have them.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Im up for a game

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Still think you could keep up with us young boys Stevie?

Re: The BASTARDS strips

for at least 45 mins!!!!!!!! but will you last that long!??

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I'll only be getting warmed up by then

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I am a very acomplished goalkeeper if that is any good to you. I am also still very young myself. I have been known to have the occasional flurish outfield. I conceeded 4 goals against EF 19's pre season but I was a tad generous to the Black & Gold ;) No chance in borrowing a set of old strips from the club?

Re: The BASTARDS strips

The last i heard Gordon had them and was using them for another team

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Maybe Derrick wanted to borrom them afterall they are chums now!

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I played against Gordon's team but it was at least a year ago. They were playing in the Bastards strips. Some idiot thought they were the real east fife shirts, spotted me in a pub and started telling me how he had been wearing east fife's left backs shirt all the time.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Glensfifer

Your havin a laff!

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Goalkeeper here if needed,

Haven't played for a while but won't take long getting
back into my days of EF 18's and Army football.

If my services are required get in touch as i need to
travel from Glasgow.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Mr Flett jsut get the oranges cut!
And watch poetry in motion

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I have had these strips for more than 50 years but if you think I'm giving them back now, I am not, I AM NOT !

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I've sent doug a txt to ask if he knows the whereabouts.

Any takers for organising a team again? We had plenty of willing players just noone to organise it all(after igor and lonefifer left).

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I'll be willing to play an organisational (fixtures, park bookings etc) role once more

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Andrew Warrender has the strips in safe hands.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

War is a shite goalie so no way are they in safe hands, now if u'd said Ian 'the cat' Wilson that would be a different story - (called 'the cat' cause he shits in his neighbours garden)

Re: The BASTARDS strips

All systems are go then for the BASTARDS comeback, minus the headband and some Vladimir Lenin lookalike keeper that fecked off to London of course.

Ballingal, are you up for it??

Re: The BASTARDS strips

can i be the keeper ?

Re: The BASTARDS strips

I'd be willing to play again. I'm guessing Sean and David would too. All depends on work though because I'm usually in on a Saturday. I'm sure I could speak nicely to the boss.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

How about a game of 5s one nite?

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Don't think for one minute your booking my new pitch.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

The Bastards No 1 Supporter will back you all the way.
Orange cutter extrordinaire!

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Myself, Doug and Andrew would be up for it again. Although the long period of inactivity has resulted in some strange swelling around my midrif.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Maybe a training session is needed to determine the team as their seems to be a lot of new talent on offer

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Game of 5s next week would be good, mon, tues or wed is best for me.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

Igor, i would be willing to pull on the bastards strip again. let me know via msn or phone about where and when.

Re: The BASTARDS strips

igor I hav indeed been keeping trim and fit on my usual diet of Strongbow and peanuts so will be ready for any call-up needed - but not the managers role, was thinking more like super sub
