Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Mickey mouse referee

Well done to the Aussie's - but did you ever see such an incompetant REF as that English ninny Graham Pole - yellow carding a player 3 times before sending him off - what a joke - he is about as good as his english team.

Re: Mickey mouse referee

He lost it towards the end, and went a bit card happy! Booking the guy 3 times before sending him off is a silly error.

I doubt that there will be much criticism of him on BBC though!

Re: Mickey mouse referee

He's a total wanker!

Apart from the three bookins farce and the fact that he missed a second clear handball in the box for another Aussie pen, I had £20 on Brazil and Australia to win and then he disallows Cahill's goal cos he apparently blew for full time!

That should have been a 3-2 Aussie win

£80 down the drain! When your betting luck's not in, it's not in!!!

Only consolation being it was a new bookies account and they match my first bet so I get my £20 back to squander on something else!

He's still a complete useless fud though!

Re: Mickey mouse referee

Another plus point is that Fifa will send him home now and he'll not be refereeing another game in Germany!

Home two days before the rest of the England team

Re: Mickey mouse referee

I'm convinced he was giving a pen at the end, then Australia put it in the net, and he just thought, $hit, and blew for full-time.

Btw, GoF - Kewell's goal was offside anyway.

Re: Mickey mouse referee

I had money on Kewell for MOM so that softened the blow of having money on Oz as well.
