Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

A day to celebrate

What would be the best name for the day we will all celebrate, the day derrick finallly falls through the trap door. BD day (boot derrick day) the day we finally flushed broon from the nooks and crannies of bayvie?
VM day ? -Victory on the Mound day. Six months that shook the world well lower methil?, How twelve fans and some pies started a revolution. There could be a book and a film in this you know if we play our cards right!
Whatever happens I hope we can mark the great mans exit with suitable reverence. Conga at the first game anyone?

Re: A day to celebrate

Nothing that refers to or mentions his name. Why glorify him? He revels in notoriety.

Celebrate a new dawn - we should never mention him again once he's gone. Show him for the irrelevant, parasite he really is and is going to be. Flick him away and hope he's never spoken of again.

Re: A day to celebrate

The day when he goes should be the day when we all look forward to a new era at East Fife, where we can walk through the turnstiles, proud that we all played a part in the rebirth of OUR club.
The future is Black and Gold....nothing else.

Re: A day to celebrate

Why not have a sombre, serious ceremony where a guy dressed as a chicken wheels a barrow containing a DB effigy from the front door of Bayview to the Forth.
