Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Brown misleading again?

It's intresting to read the latest 2 releases from the Brown camp. He's now talking up his ability to get sponsership from local firms, stating that this is "greatly increased on previous years". Is this an attempt to mislead supporters to believe that through HIS "tireless efforts" HE has brought in the finance to fund this season's squad? We all know that Willie Gray is the money behind the squad.

And it's odd how Brown is available to the EFM for comment regarding a 'substantial' (but not quantified) offer for some waste ground - and yet wasn't available for comment on the substantial (and quantified) £100K offer from the Trust. Is the waste ground story an attempt to mislead supporters in to thinking that Brown is a capablechairman, shrewd in the art of business? Is the £4Million story an attempt to overshadow the investment offers from Columbine and the Trust? Any anyway, how substancial could the offer have been? I guess not substantial enough to fund the plastic pitch!

Re: Brown misleading again?

If you think Brown had anything to do with the amount of sponsors we have, he did not, HE DID NOT!

At the end of the day, I can assure you that he is a desperate man trying to put some spin on issues that were nothing to do with him.

Now, put that phone away.

Re: Brown misleading again?

I hear that the waste land story has so much substance to it that DB didn't bother to tell the Board about it!!

What exactly is the purpose of the rest of the Board?

Re: Brown misleading again?

Wullie Gray is on his holidays and broon is spinning stories all over the place...come to your own conclusions!

Re: Brown misleading again?
