Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

No Money No Way

Well I have to say this but there will be no money going into East Fife from me until db is gone completely,I will not buy,£80 for strips,£20 for programmes and £156 for black and gold, along with pies, beers&half time draws, which in total is over £600,including my entrance fee, which the club used to get, before I got freebie season ticket,is more money that club got on other Items in the shop.the club has lost this last season from me and many others on the mound, and it will lose this again from us if he is not totally removed,
BROWN MUST GO COMPLETELY

Re: No Money No Way

In complete agreement. Once, my family held 4 season tickets. These won't be renewed until Brown has gone.

This won't bother Derrick though - as treasurer, the less money he has to count, the easier his job will be!

Re: No Money No Way

Taking Zak's example of £600 lost per head over the course of the season....
Say 50 or so hard core protestors - that would mean a total of £30,000 lost income this season.
That's just the tip of the iceberg - there's probably another 200 to 300 lost souls who've just just got totally pissed off with Brown and drifted away. They may or may not be lost forever.

Wake up and smell the coffee time to Sid, the Rodgers family, Wullie Gray and whoever else is in a position to produce major influence.

Re: No Money No Way

It should be possible to put together a list of names and addresses of individuals who would buy season tickets on the condition that Brown is removed. Then add up the sum he has cost the club, and present the figures to the board of directors.

As further evidence of lost revenue, present attendance figures for the last season when Bruce Black was in charge, and attendances for last season. Work out the financial loss, and present it to the board in an easy-to-understand format.

It would also be easy enough to demonstrate through percentages, just how much revenue the club has lost through catering, programme sales, 50-50 draw, bar takings.

That kind of blunt evidence of deliberately withheld revenue should speak volumes to even the least sympathetic boardroom hanger-on.

Re: No Money No Way

Brown's actions and his alone have effected the drift of supporters. The paedophile did not cause this much resentment and effect.
There is also the loss of support from local businesses, sponsorship, and the ridicule of peers to take into account. We, the supporters have a lot of pride so please take this into account when you consider who may be a fit and proper person to be director / treaurer/ secretary of EFFC.
