If it was property that Gray/Brown were after, and this fictitious friendship between them still existed, why would they both go to such lengths to fake a fall out (which must have involved fantastic acting and the great acting of many more people who are “in on it” too), what would be the point in ending any fans protests? The thought that the head man who strikes me as a fairly strong character would be ready to walk after a "fall out" with an underling is an ominous sign.
