Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Just As I feared

I leave you guys alone for a week or two and the whole protest movement appears to be on the verge of collapse. There is no organisation, no plan, and no hope of properly getting rid of Derrick never mind Oor Wullie.

They are both now supremely confident that the worst is over and that in a matter of weeks the situation will have settled down enough for them to be able to concentrate fully on their real property - related objectives.

They will start their pocket - lining plan immediately Derrick returns from the SFA jolly to Sweden in a couple of weeks time. He's been bragging openly about how highly he is regarded by the SFA that he has been chosen for this delegation, so so much for his powers being on the wane, eh!

"I leave you guys alone for a week or two and the whole protest movement appears to be on the verge of collapse."

Because up until then you had been leading it eh?

Re: Just As I feared

If it was property that Gray/Brown were after, and this fictitious friendship between them still existed, why would they both go to such lengths to fake a fall out (which must have involved fantastic acting and the great acting of many more people who are “in on it” too), what would be the point in ending any fans protests? If it’s property one is after a few protesting fans wont matter surely?

Why also spend money bringing in a quality manager and players?

I’m afraid all this makes no sense, I had assumed that was why you gave up before, because of your bad exposure, now someone says the name “Drysdale” and back you come, with more idiot tales than ever. Why is that?

I take it you haven’t got in touch with Dave Marshall yet? You said you would!

Whilst I remember too, you said you were on the mound last season, that excludes you from being anyone in the “inner circle” at Bayview.

You should have thought of all this before you went and made a clown of yourself again.

Re: Just As I feared

I also doubt there is a relationship between Gray and Brown since I heard about Gray almost leaving the board last week after a fall out.

Re: Just As I feared

Can you clarify about the fall out a c clarke as it rings alarm bells as to who is in charge of the club?

The thought that the head man who strikes me as a fairly strong character would be ready to walk after a "fall out" with an underling is an ominous sign.

Re: Just As I feared

Brown is still in control,he may not be chairman but he is pulling the strings.

Re: Just As I feared

Brown is not highly regarded by those at the SFA nor the SPL. He is rightly seen as a fud !!!

Re: Just As I feared

we're aw doomed!!

Re: Just As I feared

Who promoted you to a Sgt Fraser? You have been a private for 50 years and I have been a pompous ass for at least the same amount of time.

Re: Just As I feared

Oooooh! Uncle Arthur!! Mr Fraser says he's a sergeant now Uncle Arthur! Ooooh - whatever will my mum say Uncle Arthur??? Hmmm? Hmmm?

Stupid Boy.
