Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

IFA LEAGUE

Hi guys,

I am one of the Athletic Bilbino players who plays in the IFA league and I am trying to get other fans/teams interested in setting up teams to play in the league.
At the moment we have just over 14 teams from Scottish teams and East Fife don't have one represented.

What is it?

The Internet Football League was set up in the late 90's for fans of teams to play a game of football before the teams they support played on a Saturday afternoon. The IFA league is mainly about getting to know other fans of other teams, playing a fair, but competive game of football and maybe going for a pint before the big game with the opposition.

How many games do we have to play?

The maximum games you have to play is 20,but you can play as little as one a season if you wanted!

Any other details?

There is a few other competitions involved you can join in with. There is the
Scottish Cup-knock out competition,
one day Scottish cup- One venue where the winner plays their way to the final that day(it might be in Ayr this year).
Worldnet-A weekend in Leeds for a British style cup where at least 64 teams play for the right to the winner.

Hopefully someone on here knows a few East Fife supporters who could set up a team for East Fife.
There is a Yahoo Scottish and British IFA e-mailing list to keep up to date and ask questions.
If you guys are interested in joining, then please e-mail mifthebino@msn.com and I will e-mail you further details.

Come on people,if the Binos can set up and maintain a team, then surely East Fife could too?
