Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Good result today

Good result today but we still need a goalkeeper and a couple of strikers who know where the goal is.

Re: Good result today

We have a good goalkeeper in Ian Ross, but must have been injured today. Dodds does look a bit suss at set pieces but made a good stop at the death.

Craig Smartie ran his socks off but sometimes plays the wrong ball. I agree we need a striker to bury the chances we are making, but still 7 points from 3 games is good.

Re: Good result today

ROSS WAS INJURED IN THE WARMUP

Re: Good result today

Great win today, well chuffed

Re: Good result today

That would explain why his name was on the team sheet.Thought we were a bit kick and rush without much accuracy at times but we can play better football as we did at Perth. Still it was a good result and we're joint top with Stenny. Long may it continue.

Re: Good result today

Well done lads, keep it up!

Re: Good result today

Big smerty again with the winner, and i think it was on about 56 min like last week

Re: Good result today

Just working on the match report the now.

Great performance today. We let them back in to it a wee bit after they scored with their first real effort but we were the only team that would have taken the three points.

Blackadder had his best game for us yet. At last we have someone to command the midfield and with a bit of bite.

Hopefully whatever happened in the warm up to Iain Ross won't keep him out as that was the second goal Dodds has cost us in two games.

Look at the pic below. This was the corss Martin hit home. Looks where Dodds is positioned compared to him. He never had a chance of getting there first

Re: Good result today

Report will be up shortly.

Re: Good result today

Who's the baldie a the centre of all the action ?

Re: Good result today

That'll be my friend Martin who I had a wee chat with after his miraculous recovery from injury.

Re: Good result today

Another question. Ross was on the team sheet, I understand ,got injured in the warm up and was replaced by Dodds. Each team is allowed 3 subs. So a change to the original submitted team sheet counts as a sub so does Dodds count as the 1st sub ? If so, how come Fortune, Mitchell and O'Reilly were also used ? Did someone make a booboo here and use 4 subs ?

Re: Good result today

The baldy guy as you put it is ryan blackadder

Re: Good result today

Ah that baldy guy, here's me thinking he meant Arbroaths Martin.
