Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

East Fife 5 East Stirling 0

An excellent performance tonight after a shakey first 10 minutes when the Shire looked a decent side and had us on the back foot. Two goals by Ryan Blackadder, one with a deflection the other a cracker that he curled into the corner. Doddsy made a good save with his feet just before half-time. The three goals in the second half were sheer class. Jabba scoring at the end of a free flowing move from 16 yards, John Martin using his strength and pace to get away from the last defender before putting the ball through the keepers legs. Martin then breezed past the right back and cut the ball back across the box where Kevin Gordon dummied for Jabba to slam the ball into the net. Excellent team performance with some great football and stunning goals.
The confidence must now be sky high and there will now be a real fight for places in the 16 never mind the starting line up. John Martin wouldn't have been involved had it not been for Ally Mitchell being injured.
East Stirling to be fair looked a decent team compared to recent times, but Stenny must have been rank rotten last week !!
Decent crowd tonight although the Official site gives it as 702. Obviously the pipe band, season ticket holders and freebies would have seen it nearer 900 I would have thought. It was great to see a number of well kent faces back in the ground and one face you would never tire of hitting nowhere to be seen !!!!
Great perfomance lads, keep up the good work !!!!

Re: East Fife 5 East Stirling 0

What, the biggest East Fife supporter of them all missed another game? Could it be that we've seen the end of Deek? Hopefully so.

Excellent result keep up the good work guys!
