Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

browns interference

We got beat today because brown is disrupting the players by being a proper asshole,the players are being disrupted by this pricks attitude towards them,and it will end up costing us promotion,he must go now,

What he is talking about is Brown's negative influence on the club and players. You must have been aware of this in the past few years resulting in our lowly position until recently.

The fact that we have been told he has been sidelined but still appears to be able to wield his particular brand of disillusionment on the players must be particularily hard to take. They must be thinking how long do we have to put up with this?

I agree with Zak that Brown should go now but we have been assured it will not be possibly until the AGM.

As I said on another post it is going to be a long and trying 3 months.

Surely if all the rumours about him not paying players expenses etc on time means he is not doing his paid employment as Secretary / Treasurer therefore he should be sacked from this position for incompetence ??

As I understand Broowne now has a paid job as Sec/Tres job, if the payers have not been paid this in my business would be a failing in his duties and a warning would be given, futhermore if he was interfering in matters that are of no concern to him, I would simply tell him to FUCK off just as Baikie should do.
Baikie should also support his players and take their issues straight to the Chairman and get the matter rectified now.
Montrose is a wee warning that either East Fife players are demotivated due the circumstances created by Broowne or we are simply shite and have been lucky to get to the top of the division.
The new Leaders need to step up and make a stance now with Broone and remove him from the club.

i understand that he is still handing ouut the expenses form's for the players and on sat he was sat at the front ticking off the players names not one player likes him they say he must GO NOW!!!!!!

As I said on this post way back on the 9th sept, browns interference cost us the game again today,WE must rid of him now.
