Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Caroline the Staduim Announcer

I missed the last home game. Is DJ Caroline back on the Mic? If so any chance of a requst for Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash in the pre match playlist. (I ve got it on CD if needed).
Does any one know who the stand in bloke was? He was ok but not a patch on MC C

As an aside a lot of clubs have a request thread on their website that forms the playlist up to kick off subject to availablity and the bounds of good taste.(No Spandau Ballet then!)

I noticed this at St Johnstone and the Glory Hornet boys have been doing it for donkeys. Something AFTN could organsie with the Club?
I ve a few records I could dub with a subliminal message to DEEK to leave the ground and never return!

Re: Caroline the Staduim Announcer

I heard that Deek spat the dummy before a recent home game because he "thought that the lyrics of a song played over the tannoy were a dig at him", this shows just how much of a paranoid little maniac he is, and I bet the song was Telstar

Re: Caroline the Staduim Announcer

Was it "Your so vain by Carly Simon? (Showing my age there).

If thats the case they should crank up the psychological pressure. How about I will survive "GO ON NOW GO WALK OUT THE DOOR".

On second thoughts most males have been scarred for life hearing that song being murdered on the Karoake by every lass in the world at least three times a night. The footy should be a sanctuary from such abuse.
