Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

I must be missing something here. In all the celebration of Kenny Mackay's departure, I keep reading that there are only two more to go - Brown and his wife.

When did Hain and Hamilton become the good guys? They sat on their hands and did nothing during a time when the club needed their help.

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

agreed

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

At least they're on the right side now.

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

Says who?

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

It was intimated at the meeting with collumbine and oor wullie that hamilton and hain stood with the chairman and vice chairman. However since then have heard (don't know if its true) that is not necessarily the case. Along with the question raised recently that collumbine may be aligning with the poison dwarf may be the reason for the hard time that Willie is having.

Mckay's departure should have ensured the new regime's supremacy on the board but there appears to be continued conflict and only time will tell.

I only hope the assurance that Brown will go happens and is not just a wool pulling exercise.

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

we should be putting sid on the spot,by asking him if theres any truth that he favours broon.

i also think that andy and davie have seen a big improvement around the club and would be silly to back broon-i think they want to be part of the clubs bright future.

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

They have no right to be.

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

I know for a fact that Andy has the best interest of the our club at heart. He knows who the bad guy is and will back Wullie in every positive step to get us where we belong.

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

So he tells you.

I would not credit anyone with having the club's best interests at heart if he (or she) had allowed himself (or herself) to be part of a regime which took the club down and down into civil war and bitter recrimination.

Every person who stood on the mound last season has earned the right to be described as having "the club's best interests at heart" as they attempted to arrest the decline of their club. Hain has earned at best suspicion, at worst contempt.

Re: Andy Hain and Davie Hamilton

I've got very little time for anyone who stood back and watched my club being torn apart by Derrick Brown.
I hope they both leave and soon!
