Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

LOL

Re: Music

Hello I take it you werent at the game on Saturday. Yes they were all played over the PA system.

Re: Music

You forgot to say that Telstar was played (as it should be - EVERY weeek).

Re: Music

Do you not wnt a more up to date tune played i know telstar has got a lot of history behind it but we are in 2006 now

Re: Music

Club Foot by Kasabian gets my vote

Re: Music

How about...lookin after No.1

Re: Music

Trust you Bally how are you ?

Re: Music

Caroline, i think you misunderstand. Telstar is a very strong link with the days when East Fife were a successful team. It is a link with the past that we can keep, when so many others have been lost. And it is ours. It is associated with East Fife. There are not any other songs/tunes we can say that about.

Re: Music

Telstar was played at the Dumbarton game and why not? My Way is not exactly an 'up to date' tune, is it? Neither can that be said about the following tunes that were also played -

Should i stay or shoud i go - The Clash
Poison - Alice Cooper
I want to break free - Queen
Creep - Radiohead
I will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
Glad All over - Dave Clark Five
The Great Pretender - Freddie Mercury
Who are you - The Who
All rite now - Free
Another one bites the dust - Queen

All last century tunes and probably some of the others that were played.

So don't knock Telstar is wot I say!

Re: Music

Telstar all the way!! Brings back happy memories of a certain day in May 2003 every time I hear it...

Re: Music

To all I do apologise it's Telstar all the way from now on the songs played on Sat wre a dig at you know who. Sorry if I upset anyone by suggesting another song/tune to be played I was only playing the boys are back in town as that was the one requested by the players. I now know most of the fans want Telstar and you all are very important to the club.

Re: Music

Emotions aside - I think that both Telstar and Boys are Back in Town are rubbish songs to run out to. Obviously some fans link it to the glory days etc but I really think they are pants! **takes cover**

I thin the players should run out to Kasabian, Club foot - WOOOOOOOSHH!

The songs prior to the players' entrance that Caroline has been playing are fab - keep it up girl!!!

Re: Music

Must be Telstar!!

Re: Music

Hey Fifer your spot on Telstar will do us. Who played that, Tornadoes I suspect, maybe Heinz? as there is a Tornado Post.
For D.BROON why wouldnt 'I'm on my Way' by The Proclaimers be picked
