Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Brown Watch...

GoF, how about a new feature for the site. Just what will Derrick Brown do on a Saturday now since he wasn't watching his beloved East Fife side that he has claimed to support for the last 50 years? I thought being the biggest fan out there he would have been at Bayview. Strange.

Anyway, he was at Peterhead yesterday no doubt claiming to be the biggest fisherman and has been for the last 50 years...

Where will he be next Saturday? Starks Park???

Re: Brown Watch...

Well thank fcuk the boolin season is over and we'll no run into him there then.

If yer a curler, watch yer back!!!!

Re: Brown Watch...

His son Colin was refereeing the Peterhead v Forfar game - 2 sent off and about 8 booked - Just like dad, eh !!

Re: Brown Watch...

Does that mean that his son can in principle be the ref in an EFFC game ?

Re: Brown Watch...

Not while Derrick and his wife remain directors, or even shareholders, at EFFC

Re: Brown Watch...

Who is so sad that they would create a 'brown watch'
The dogs shite has gone, lets smell the fresh air I can't think of a more boring past-time than wondering whats happening to departed deek

Re: Brown Watch...

If that us your attitude you are going to miss one hell of a party when Thatcher dies

Re: Brown Watch...

Definately won't miss that one.

Re: Brown Watch...

I'm so sad to do it

It was slightly tounge in cheek just making the point that Brown claimed to be East Fife FC biggest fan but wasn't there on Saturday.

Re: Brown Watch...

He also claimed that he'd never paid to get into a game.

So I can't see him at Bayview again.
