Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Jablonski to quit Fife outfit

East Fife midfielder Neil Jablonski has revealed he will quit the league leaders in January for Australia.

Jablonski, who scored to earn a 1-0 win over Dumbarton at the weekend, said; I,m leaving in January to take a year out and do a bit of travelling.

I've got connections there so I should be able to get something fixed up.But I'm keen to do my bit to help leave the team at the top of the league."

We all knew he was going but it seem more ominous when you see it in print.

Re: Jabbas Jaunt

Read something similar in the Record Dave. While I would be sorry to see Jabba go, I think the most positive thing about Baikie's squad is the strength in depth he has in all areas.
Midfielders:
Hampshire
Blackadder
Fortune
Mitchell
Kelly
McDonald
Courts
Gordon
Martin

Re: Jabbas Jaunt

AngusFifer I agree that we have a good number providing nice cover - but Jabba will be a tough act to replace. Long time since we have had a central midfielder so comfortable on the ball. Can Willie not persuade him!?!

Re: Jabbas Jaunt

The junior football forum on fifefootball.co.uk has a posting suggesting that Ally Mitchell will be joining the management team at Lochore Welfare in January.
Anyone hear anything on this?
