Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

eck

Anon was asking me the other day about our youth team and I had to admit I didn't know too much about them at the moment.I know you are not Alex Blyth but perhaps you can tell him who are our better players,in your opinion, and what positions they play in?

Re: 19s

Iain Barratt is a quality player

Re: 19s

there r a few . hard for me to say because my own lad plays centre mid cheers

Re: 19s

Eck - any chance you could post on here if you know when any forthcoming U/19 fixtures are? The official site has a page supposed to list U/19 fixtures but it's blank. I'm always looking for something to do on Sunday afternoons and the game at Arbroath would have been ideal. I'd also be able to take photos for the programme to go with Eck Blyth's reports. Do we have a game this Sunday?

Re: 19s

We play Stirling Albion away in the 2nd round of the Youth Cup this coming Sunday. There may be a seat on the bus leaving Bayview at 11am for you if you ask.

Re: 19s

Sorry, that's the first of me reading your reply, Dave!
Thanks for the info - a trip to Stirling will be a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon and Mrs C. can go round the shops.
I assume the game is at Forthbank. What time is kick off?

Re: 19s

Sorry - should have added - thanks for the offer of a 'possible' seat on the 'bus, Dave, but I'll be taking the car so that Mrs C and I can have our tea out on the way home.

Re: 19s

Forthbank at 2pm I believe,Jim,but will check tomorrow.
