Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Away shirts

Just got mine.

And jolly nice it is too. The wife said "it makes a change from gold".
"I think that would be the point" says I.

Re: Away shirts

On that subject, are we obliged to wear that strip at every away game now? In my book our colours are black and gold and we should ALWAYS wear that unless there is an actual colour clash. For this season we should only change then at Berwick, Dumbarton and Albion.

Re: Away shirts

Teams have to wear the away strips for half their league games that is an agreement of the sponsorship,Just like the home strip sponsors have an agreement of the other half of the league games, the cup games teams can wear which strip they choose to as long it does not clash with the opposition, east fife have worn their away strip against elgin twice away, queens park and stenhousemuir, they wore their black and gold strips at albion and montrose so they have to wear their away strip at least twice at home so far, they have worn their black and gold strip seven times so far and their blue/green strip four times, hope that helps you.

Re: Away shirts

As far as I remember, we had to wear the away shirt for all away matches for the last two seasons as part of the Pinpoint deal, even when it clashed with the other team's home strip.
I wasn't aware of any requirement this season, they certainly haven't worn it for all the away games.
