Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Vocal

Well so much for the Fife choir eh? typical for New Bayview no atmosphere...

Re: Vocal

Well its been discussed before, but please let's get some terracing and make the stadium more like a bloody proper football ground!!

Re: Vocal

We need songs to sing every now again... even though there are songs nobody sings there wee hearts out ....COME ON lets liven Bayview Up!!!

Re: Vocal

The terracing claims are spot on, I believe the club must start exploring this avenue to provide a standing area for some fans, the vocal benefits would be worth far more to us than the cost of this project, and i'm sure if the club got a few quotes the trust, supporters club, ladies, FFFF etc would be more than willing to help fundraise to meet the costs.

Re: Vocal

The problem with the stadium is that all the sound just carries out across the pitch.

When the away fans are very vocal, it's hard to realise that at times.

Another stand, with terracing, opposite would help and prepare for SPL 1/2 membership. It would also trap sound a little.

Remember, for anyone who doesn't know the songs, you can check some of them out HERE

Re: Vocal

Terraces are a good idea but can it be done?

Re: Vocal

I can't see the board spending tens of thousands of pounds to build a terracing when we can't fill the stand that we have.
