Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: relics

I suspect this scrap book is another "Hitler's Diaries"

Re: relics

Do i get a long lie 2morrow toc?

Re: relics

Just to close this thread - Hitler is not the same person as bailey who is not Tam somebody

Re: relics

TOC

Are you some sort of Simon Wiesenthal type?

Re: relics

Simon Wiesenthal - is that the guy who won the pools, but couldn't collect the money because he'd burnt his coupon?

Re: relics

Do you mean Simon Weston I_10?

Re: relics

Dunno why but this reminded me of a trip to the dentists this week where they had a poster in the waiting room which I swear read along the lines of...

Having trouble with reading, writing or numbers? Then ring 0800 100 1080.

Surreal on SO many levels.

Re: relics

That's the guy

Re: relics

Amazing how threads can go way off on a tangent. We go from a request for a Leven Royals scrapbook to a Nazi hunter and a Falklands veteran in a few easy steps!

Re: relics

Wouldn't have happened in Derrick's day. Threads were organised and strictly controlled. (And had been for over 50 years).

Re: relics

oooooooo Leven Royals scrap book any chance o a swatch at it??

Re: relics

It's from season 61-62, maybe a wee bit before you're time

Re: relics

I am probably the only person in the world who knows bailey's real identity. If the truth was exposed my life would be in danger. You would be completely wrong
to assume he is from Leven and has played for the Royals (he claims)

Re: relics

jeolosy an awfy thing toc.IS THERE ANY SPORT YOU CAN PLAY???

Re: relics

Lonefifer. toc has Scrapbook.

Re: relics

For anyone interested in having a look at the scrapbook, I will photocopy it for you.

It is (obviously!) very old and quite delicate but it has alot of information in it that someone who wants to reminisce will love! It has every game, scoreline and team line up for that season and most have a newspaper cut out too.

Email me or leave your name on here if you'd like a copy.

Re: relics

Apparently no mention of the mysterious bailey in the scrap book. Could it be he never came back from his top secret mission behind enemy lines in 1944.
They seek him here................

Re: relics

But surely if it mentioned him TOC then he wouldn't be mysterious

Re: relics

It's a mystery to me.There was a strong rumour that he had played for the Royals but it may have been under one of his many aliases.

Re: relics

He who laughs last laughs longest blah blah blah.PROOF OF PUDDING.blah blah.

Re: relics

I'd like a copy please Mrs P, thank you

Re: relics
