Thought we should have had Elgin buried by half time and then turned up in the second half a totally different side.
Don`t know what it is,but we seem to struggle when we go one nil up.Also feel we have to drop Dodds and Gordon. John Martin should come in although he boobed at the end when he should have squared it.
Still clear at the top but I hope the results agaisnt Albion and Elgin don`t come back to haunt us.

well same story great first half midfield posted missing in the second half, thought jay smart had an outstanding game tried to get the team going in the second half christ he chased a dead ball 60 yards while the midfield just stood and watched, oh well burger ytrip next come on guys lets get more vocal

I agree, time for a few changes in the team. Dodds made a blunder that cost us the goal today, not good enough if we are serious about promotion. Young O,Reily had a nightmare also , his distrbution and movement off the ball was poor. Lets get Martin back in the team at least he has a bit of fight in him, and much needed speed up front. Ross back in goals for me also.

We are in desperate need for a new keeper, there has to be someone better that we can get from the Junior leagues.
Our goalkeeping coach came from Hill of Beath so he should be able to set us up with someone that won't cost us promotion.

Goalkeeping errors stand out above any missed sitter or terrible pass, the problem is the more errors a keeper makes the more shaky he seems to become, it was the same with O'Connor in Div2 a few years ago, it will be hard for Doddsy to keep his chin up after his recent few howlers and I think Baikie will be feeling the pressure now to drop him for Ross (if he is fit)

Ross has been on the bench the last few games so should be fit.


Doddsy hardly had anything to do yesterday but still made an error for the goal. He has made a lot of errors but has kept us in games too. Hate getting on players backs but I think we need a change and Ross should get back in.

I believe some players are taking too much notice of our league possition and have become complacent, also because our current squad is stretched, I think once again some players do not feel their possition is threatened. Time for some changes ie Dodds, Gordon,and even Jablonski who hasn,t performed lately all out. Ross, Martin and Fortune in if fit. We can throw this promotion away if we continue to drop points to the bottom of the league teams.

Despite having a few injuries we still have a decent sized squad and players should always be rotated after bad performances to keep things fresh and competative.

I hope we can make a few signings in the new year though, whats Stevie Nicholas up to nowadays? Ideal replacement for Ally Mitchell IMO.

It's too harsh to blame the goalkeeper. He made one mistake, but our strikers made countless mistakes. The real problem is scoring just one goal, at home, against the worst team in the league.

I was at the opposite end when Elgin scored (at pitch level taking photos), so my view of the goal wasn't that good, but from where I was Doddsy looked to have been pushed just before he dropped the ball. I was amazed the goal was allowed to stand, but as nobody else seems to have noticed the incident maybe my eyes were just playing tricks.
And before anyone from Elgin shouts 'sour grapes', let me say that I thought a draw was probably a fair reflection of the game anyway. We dominated the first half, Elgin were the better team in the second.

Naw. Doddsy hasn't just made one mistake. He's consistent as far as mistakes go.

Dodds has improved generally but he has made many individual errors over the last 2 and a half seasons, probably more than any keeper at East Fife in the last 25 years. I just don't rate him at all.

Totally agree with the fact we need a change on the keeper front. We need someone that will come off his line and be generally more commanding but John Martin for a start!! I think he has bags of pace but as was shown in the final minute, skill and vision...

I never critisise players. The manager works with the squad in midweek and knows their form. Top of the league and still some of us are not happy. If the manager listened to all the "experts" he would have a hard job picking the team. Furthermore, why critisise players on here? The players also have computers don't you know? Dodsy's confidence will be in tatters when reading this thread. As i have said many times before, let's get behind the players and let the manager manage, we are after all having a successful season [so far]
