Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Photos from today's game

Ross Godfrey!!!

Just how many ex-EF keepers were on the park today, Jim?

Actually, come to think of it, the sooner the correct answer is 2 the better.

Re: Photos from today's game

AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!

I went downstairs after uploading the pics, poured a tin of beer, looked at the programme, went "AAGH - it was Gary O'Connor in goal, not Ross Godfrey!"
Put down the beer, rushed up the stairs thinking that nobody could possibly have looked at the photos yet, changed the name of the Berwick 'keeper, thought I'd got away with it, looked on the forum, and ....... AAAAAGGGGHHH!!!!

Re: Photos from today's game

Nice photos Jim. What Camera are you using?

Re: Photos from today's game

It's a Canon EOS350D with a 70mm-300mm telephoto lens. I'm quite pleased at how the photos turned out yesterday with Berwick's rather poor floodlights.
I set the shutter speed to 1/500th and film speed to 1600, which stopped the problem I've had recently taking low light with moving objects blurring. The faster shutter speed doesn't let in as much light, though, so the photos turn out darker, but this can be adjusted later on the PC.

Re: Photos from today's game

Brilliant pictures Jim. Hope they are as good on Saturday!!!!

Re: Photos from today's game

Thanks for that Jim.
