Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Photos from today's game

Bitterly disappointed after today's game, but at least I seem to have mastered the problem with taking photos in low light. My better understanding of lighting conditions is largely down to photographer Craig Martin from the Sun, who I have kept in contact with since meeting him at Bayview a couple of months ago. I've sent Craig photos for his opinon when things haven't gone right, and he's never failed to reply telling me where I've gone wrong. Cheers Craig, mate!
Anyway, the pictures can be viewed as usual at:

I wish I'd mastered it Jim!

Point and shoot's never gonna be a match for your whopper tho!

Got my pics (that turned out!) up HERE.

Match report will be up later tonight or tomorrow.

Will link into your pics too Jim

Re: Photos from today's game

The incident where Craig O'Reilly was brought down as he homed in on goal - I thought the protests were because he'd been brought down by the last defender and feeling was that the punishment should have been harsher.
According to the Sunday Post, though, the protests were because a penalty wasn't given. Surely not - the photo I took of the foul shows it happened well outside the penalty area!

Re: Photos from today's game

Of course we weren't shouting for a penalty! Last man etc. Muppets.

Re: Photos from today's game

Oh and by the way Jim, tremendous photos!

Re: Photos from today's game

Photo looks pretty conclusive to me. If he (the defender) took the ball or not he looks like has gone right through the back of O'Reilly. As far as I am aware with tackles from behind being frowned upon (in this day and age), then that is a foul. No?
