Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Tonight's friendly

East Fife 2 Cowdenbeath 3

East Fife lined up: 1 John Dodds, 2 Michael Bruce, 3 Jason Dair, 4 Steven Gordon, 5 Gary Kelly, 6 Paul Doyle, 7 Stephan Fortune, 8 Paul Hampshire, 9 Paul Ritchie, 10 Scott Crabbe, 11 Craig Smart.

After a fairly evenly contested first half, Craig Smart opened the scoring just before the interval with a sweetly struck shot from 18 yards.
At half time, Scott Bissett replaced Jason Dair.
Cowden equalised in 55 minutes, but within a minute East Fife regained the lead through a Scott Crabbe penalty after Craig Martin had been held back in the penalty area.
There followed a string of substitutions which saw Ross Smith replace fellow under 19 player Steven Gordon, Stuart Cargill replace Paul Ritchie and Alex Scougall replace Gary Kelly. Cowden turned the game around with two well taken solo efforts in 72 and 77 minutes. East Fife almost snatched a draw in the closing seconds when Stuart Cargill was unfortunate to see two efforts go wide following some great flashes of skill from the youngster.

Re: Tonight's friendly

"East Fife regained the lead through a Scott Crabbe penalty after Craig Martin had been held back in the penalty area"
