Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Charity event

As part of the Trusts charity work I am organising a sponsored cycle run on Saturday 21st April 2007 (Albion Rovers at home that day).
The run will be from the Forth Road Bridge to Bayview via East End park, Central Park & Starks park probably around 35 miles in total.
I am looking for around another 11 people to partake (2 other unfortunates already pledged their support).
The idea is raise money by getting local business' to sponsor special tops & each rider to get individual sponsorship.
I would like to think that we could raise in excess of £2k for the MS Society & at the same time raise the profile of the Trust.
Anyone interested please post hear or e mail me at the address left.
An exciting event is also in the Planning stages in conjunction with the All time greats poll so watch this space.

Liam

Both Memory Corporation Group and Sutherland & Walker Factors will be extremely happy to sponsor this charity event but I'm not riding a bike!

Re: Charity event

Go on! You know you want to Mike!
Seriously thanks for the offer I will gladly take you up on it.

Re: Charity event

I would start off at Cowdenbeath - before the natives are awake otherwise you might get out o there missing a wheel or two

Re: Charity event

If anyones riding in Cowdenbeath it better be with a close relative.

Re: Charity event

I would do the bike run Liam. ill speak to u about it at dumbarton if you goin or next home game.

Re: Charity event

can I take my car??

Re: Charity event

Lonefifer - can I get a lift?

Re: Charity event

I'll be taking my car so I'll give you all a lift!

Just to point out that the money for this event will go directly to the MS Society FIFE as opposed to the national one. Our main raffle will donate to the UK charity.

That means that your money will remain in Fife.

Re: Charity event

Well done the Trust.

Re: Charity event

the other chairman has a nice bike.???

Re: Charity event

Just a reminder that this event takes place 2 weeks on Saturday (21st April 2007).
Sponsorship sheeets will be circulating at Bayview tomorrow & all help would be greatly appreciated.
Exact start time has still to be decided but 10.00 - 10.30am seems about right.
We will start on the Fife side of the Forth Road Bridge & head to Bayview via Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath & Kirkcaldy arriving aroud 1.00pm.
At present we have 6 riders but more would be welcome.
ALL proceeds are going to the Fife branch of the MS Society.
Please support us.
