Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

I believe it was extremely positive, with WG and SC coming across well.
Sadly, the Browns are no longer part of the Board but I'm sure we'll cope.
The share requirement to become a director has been reduced to 100, thus easing the recruitment of other talents, not to mention a Trust nominee. All directors will still require the support of 10% of shareholders.
There is to be a share issue of 40,000, 1 for 4 @ £4.50 to existing shareholders for two months with any remaining being ut on general sale.
There is apparently a large sum required for repairs to the ground.
The meeting was adjourned because the accounts were not ready as some information had not been obtained from the previous Chairman/Secretary/Meejaman/Breadbin provider etc.

I wasn't actually at he meeting and no doubt others will fill in more details.

And we're not getting Deuchs back. WG did enquire and was told bids start at 100k. He said, "I offered 5 but no go!" The Chairman was in good form, saying he hoped it would be the first of many AGM's for him then laughing and adding "unless I get hounded out." Nice wee dig.
