Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Is the new Raith Rovers youth coach the same guy that was giving Baikie at Arbroath?

Re: Robbie Raeside

Yes

Re: Robbie Raeside

How'd ur team get on today fatboy

Re: Robbie Raeside

I popped along today to pratt street to see some former ef players (whom maybe we are interested in, i dunno)

anyway based on the performance i saw today, NO WAY in a million years would i take fairbairn back to bayview, he was s*ite to say the very least, the only positive thing he done all day was won raith a corner near the end.......ball greedy, useless when on the ball, had no vision of who to pass to, nothing changes then...

as for McManus...he also done nothing worth noting either except looking shocked when he beat a player in the box and toby'd in past the cowdung keeper....then he went back to sleep...crap...no use to us i say, fair enough he scored a hat-trick the previous game but look at his over all form this year....

only player who was worth noting who created chances for them was the Trialist they brought on, seemed to have vision and good positioning...made the quick pass when needed and caused the cowdung defense a wee problem when he was actually given the ball....

As for cowdung, they were the better team today, looked far sharper than raith and more threating upfront for the whole match, made some neat passes at points....although at others they were hidious...i really shi*ey game of football all over tbh....but least i know now not to get excited about any mcmanus bid....

Re: Robbie Raeside

also worth noting that at half time ryan blackadder came out as part of the raith past players things to jeers....jelous maybe?

Re: Robbie Raeside

Spy, how would you know what sort of form McManus has been in? He's been out injured for a fair part of this season. 4 goals in his last two matches is pretty good though.

Was it scary for you to be in such a big crowd?

Re: Robbie Raeside

Heard a rumour (probably shite though) that Blackadder was going back to R**th and Sean Kilgannon was coming to 'The Mighty'.

Re: Robbie Raeside

Jonathan, wasn't scary at all, i was bored stiff, nill atmosphere, for a crowd like that.... :S

and i was talking to alot of raith fans before and during the game about mcmanus so my opinion of his form is based on the views of your fellow raith fans, however i did overhear in the stand "if that bid rumor is true and he DOES go then thats us fuc*ed then"

goes to prove the tallent you've got no?

Re: Robbie Raeside

I would have thought that his goalscoring record for Raith speaks for itself really?
