Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

goalkeeper for tomorrow

heard that dodds has broken a bone on his hand, probably out for 3 weeks or more. sliet concern when ross seems to have a back problem, that could go at any minute. what is robertson like and could he step in if required.

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

unfortunate for dodds.looked steady concidering the stick he was getting.appeared to be getting a bit of confidence back. i saw on another post a question whether robertson could handle going on the bench. if i'm not mistaken has he not been on the bench when ross was injured.hope doddsy recovers quite quickly cause who knows when ross's back will give way again. we need all the fit players we can get if we are to go up this season.

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

robertson has done well for the 19's. he deserves a chance. fair enough he's not as good as the other 2 but he's young and could progress into a decent keeper, especially when working with the best goalies in the league

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

doesn't matter whos in goal. we've got j.

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

i'd still rather have a decent keeper in goal.

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

totally agree with malky. we've got 2 quality keepers. fair enough they have made mistakes but they are both in the top 5 in the league. not seen anyone that i would replace them with

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

top 5. u mean top 2. do u not

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

i was talking to a player and he told me that jay was a goalkeeper a while ago seemingly he got a scotland cap when he was younger and john martin told me he was in goals in a training session and he was better that what we have got hahahaha so if there is an injury then im sure hed pull the gloves on

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow

YOU,VE GOT TO GIVE IT TO JOHN MARTIN, HE,LL DO ANYTHING TO GET OFF THE BENCH AND PLAY.

Re: goalkeeper for tomorrow
