Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Seat Washing Volunteers

Just back from the SC meeting at Bayview.

A great offer from Willie Gray (Chairman of East Fife Football Club).

Anyone willing to spend this Thursday evening washing the seats will be given either free entry to the match on Saturday or a free meal courtesy of the Club.

Meet athe reception area at 18.45 (6.45pm)and make yourself known to Davie Hamilton.

The Club asks that you take along a bucket and sponge.
Water, Flash and loads of management will be provided!

Willie was on top form tonight.

Scrubbers down the docks.....Count me in!!

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

You have got your work cut Mike, why not get a power washer, and you could get rid of the slippery mould on the concrete, before someone makes a claim.

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

Funny you should mention that Zak

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

Get down there tonight

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

Erm,Mike. I thought it was Thursday evening. It`s just that I was going to send the wife down, but obviously don`t want her to turn up tonight and nobody is there.
Can you clarify?

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

Would you like some Cillit Bang?

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

seats are dodgy enough without that stuff that's worse than paint stripper, most of the muck was caused by the rovers scum(you could smell the lino on sat),when we played them in the fife cup, which can easily be removed just like the cowdung just use soap and water it is the best

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

I could be of use

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

Im really good at cleaning

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

Dom and Baz, glad to hear that you are helping. This morning Peter Wright and the entirety of the Dougie Hope Appreciation Society cleaned the section at the new home end "vomitory". We also did the top 5 rows in the next section (down to the start of the black seats) Peter cleaned a section himself yesterday so there is only about one and a half sections to go.

Re: Seat Washing Volunteers

well done peter
