Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Is there any light at the end of the tunnel..

Thought long and hard about this but how do we change this mess we are in?
Biggest budget in the league and offering Deuchar £1k a week!
HOW ARE WE SO BAD? CORRECT ME IF I`M WRONG BUT 10 POINTS OUT 39 IS DISGRACEFUL.

Re: Is there any light at the end of the tunnel..

Of course signing the Doc would be great, but do we really need more players? We have a huge squad which should be more than capable of at least challenging for the title, there is obviously a problem that needs solved and I dont think we can just keep throwing new signings at it.

Re: Is there any light at the end of the tunnel..

I agree Igor.Baikie must try and turn things around with the players he has.I think all the managers in this league and most in div 2 would cut off there right arm for the resourses Wullie Gray has made at our managers dispossal.Remember its Wullies money.I don't hear ov any other directer putting his hand in iz pocket to help out.I COULD go on,but thats enough for now.

Re: Is there any light at the end of the tunnel..

We've got the players to get us out of this mess.
The thing about Saturday was how quickly we went from totally dominating the game, and playing decent football, to switching on the panic button.
Missing Johnny Smart and McGowan's injury did not help but neither did the lack of cover on our left side.
Montrose pushed an extra man forward and we failed to respond. The crazy thing is, this happened right in front of our dugout. Hampshire should surely have been instructed to pick up the spare man (who was completely unmarked when he scored the equaliser).
