Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Sam Linton

Heard from a very reliable source that Sam has gone to Ballingry Rovers (possibly on loan). Fair enough the guy needs games and with the signing of McBride, he seems to have gone down the pecking order, but why are we keeping Dair who hasn't played for ages, Hampshire who has been shown to be not up to the job, Ritchie who is immobile and way past his best, Crabbe who works hard without actually doing anything (When did he last score a goal in the Scottish Leagues ?)
We seem intent of getting good young players out, many of whom will never return whilst keeping those on big money who are really contibuting very little.

Re: Sam Linton

LINTON,MARTIN, FORTUNE. DOES BAIKIE NOT HAVE TIME FOR YOUNG TALENT? HE,D RATHER KEEP, RITCHIE always injured, DAIR always injured, CRABBE to old and too slow. GIBSON total waste of money,HAMPSHIRE total pish. SAY NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sam Linton

If he has gone then it is EF loss. Seen him a couple of times and does not waste many balls with the left foot.
Still young, fit, alot to learn but very good prospect.
I would not mind him in our reserves/squad.

Re: Sam Linton

Thought that Sam when fit had made the left back position his own. What happens when his so called replacement is injured? do we rely on Hampshire again?

We really are wasting serious, serious money on guys who are past their best or are not interested in playing for a lower league team. They know who they are.

C`mon W.Gray....Get them out!
