Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Here comes that man again.

I hope not and don't really think so. When I asked about Brown's position re shares and proxies I was informed, and I know it was 2nd or 3rd hand, that he had a minimal amount of shares and the proxies had been removed.

Now I find he and wifie have almost 15,000 shares ie about 9% of the club. I do not call this a minimum amount but I do not blame the messenger but the official that passed the information on. Obviously to downplay Brown's involvement but misinformation of this type is counterproductive in that it leads to a questioning of judgement or truthfulness.

Maybe some of these shares are still proxies that cannot yet be wrenched from his grasp but somehow I don't think so as I am sure he got most of them on a VERY special offer when the they were getting rid of Danskin's shares and at the last issue. The accounts around this time seem to show a large discrepancy on what should have been received for shares. That is why I am glad that no one wants to buy them off him as they are worthless with no buyers. The only downside is that they will probably pass to his lovely son.

Re: Here comes that man again.

So??

Re: Here comes that man again.

So nothing just some info.

Re: Here comes that man again.

Has Danskin got a son?

Re: Here comes that man again.

A friend of mines claims that Danskin has a son, don't know if its true though.

Re: Here comes that man again.

Is that not the title of a Kirsty MacColl song?

Re: Here comes that man again.

So what if he has a lot shares, he can do nothing with them. Can't use them in any capacity at the Club & can't sell them cause the Board won't sanction it!
So basically he's got 16,000 shares that are worth he ha to him!!!
