Away From The Numbers
All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.
The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.
This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Baikie is quoted in the Sunday Mail - 'We have quality throughout the side and no-one has played better than us this season when we are on form'
1. We do have quality players individually but they don't play as a team. Whose job is it to gel these players into a team ? - Dave Baikie
2. How can he say no-one has played better than us ? Has Baikie been able to watch every other team in every game this season ? - Don't think so !
3. 'When we are on form' Please remind me when this day last happened and when it is likely to be repeated !
He also states 'the problems we have are due to confidence. It would be a weight off the players shoulders if we could get a win'
1. Whose job is it to install confidence in the players ? - Dave Baikie
2. Would it be a weight off only the players shoulders ? Does Baikie not care ? He certainly lokks that way when he walks off the pitch. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall in the Dressing Room at Half-time. Is he able to rattle a few cages and get players up for the game ? Does he have the respect of the players ? What do the players think of training ? What do players make of his tactical awareness and his team selections and formations ?
Many are saying that it would be better to wait till the end of the season to get rid of the present management, but why wait ?
This season is virtually finished as far as we are concerned so why not give a new man a chance to make decsions on who to keep for next year and force players to prove they are worth keeping
