Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Mr Baikie

We were top of the league for a long time under Baikie. Not playing great football, but still doing enough to stay top. What has went so wrong in the last few months? I just don't know how we can go from quite good to what we are seeing now

Re: Mr Baikie

Because of the shite he,s brought in!

Re: Mr Baikie

From what I have heard from a 1st team player is that training is amateurish and boring. Baikie hardly ever talks to players one to one, even when some if not all are needing a confidence boost.
Mr Irons seems also to be not much better and he agrees that the fans and Wullie Gray deserve so much better.

The way I see it, if you're not playing well, but getting the results, you're eventually going to hit a bad run where the results go bad.

Just like when you're playing well but not getting the results, you can be confident that the results will eventually take care of themselves.

Also, you have no variation in style, and have been found out. I remember when we were both in Division 2 when Moffat had you flying at the start of the season, but teams learned how to play against you and you ended up going down. The same is happening now.

Re: Mr Baikie

Can`t really argue with that.

Re: Mr Baikie

So very true my friend, so very true. Just don't expect many people on here to accept it.

Re: Mr Baikie

Also, whilst I commend Baikie for not singling players out in the press, has he ever accepted responsibility for any of the poor results, substitutions, tactics, signings etc etc??
