Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Well that's a load off...

Good performance today from the boys, well up for it from the first whistle. O'Reilly looked sharp as a tack while big Smartie was immense at the back.
Sensible tactics in the second-half saw us win comfortably in the end (although I only began to relax after 85 minutes )
Well done to the faithful fans who were there again in good numbers.
Time for a wee celebratory drink methinks...

Re: Well that's a load off...

very good performance o'rielly, ritchie and the big man smart were immense,
at last a drink on sat with a big smile again

Re: Well that's a load off...

Sensible they might have been, although we weren't saying that after Montrose. I'm a great believer in "if it ain't broke don't fix it", thought we were excellent in the first half but allowed them to come back into the match in the second half, and but for some excellent last ditch defending we might have conceded. However, we didn't an excellent three points and a clean sheet to boot, bring on the next game!!

Re: Well that's a load off...

Totally agree Angus, the players showed commitment today and could have had 6 goals easily against a dire Albion Rovers team. The pitch was very heavy and conditions were not brilliant but we dealt with them far better than Albion did. Hope this is the start of a decent run with other teams taking points off each other, who knows? I would imagine it will be a quieter aftn tonight with not much for the moaners to post.

Owens has to be one of the best away pubs too, not your typical Coatbridge boozer I would imagine!

Re: Well that's a load off...
