Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

1938 cup win

A win yesterday for you guys and back in the race.
I was looking at the papers today and in the Scotland On Sunday they have a poll on the best ever SFA cup final and you boys are there. If you want to vote on the match go to
www.scotlandonsunday.com/bestcupgame
I think that is the year that you beat us with three breakaways and an offside goal.
My vote would be for the Motherwell v Dundee United game in 1991. After all i just could not vote for you.

Re: 1938 cup win

RR1. Can you remember that far back re the goals? My, your long term memory is holding up, pity about more recent events though.

Re: 1938 cup win

YIP, Just getting my 20 year old nurse to tuck me now
(I wish). I just dinnae remember the Rovers going six game without letting in a goal tho.

Re: 1938 cup win

Was at 1991 cup final ( 'Well end ). Last cup final I was at. Lived in Hamilton at the time. Result was never in doubt Captain Kirk was on our side. Could be a 'Well v Dunfermline final this time !!
