Jonathan Smart scores??? How did that happen

Well, defenders score all the time!

Another two for O'Reilly, two starts, two goals in each!

And they did it all despite Blackadder.

Good performances from Smart (sorts everything out), Gibson (tidy and unlucky not to score), Ritchie (battled well) and Walker (dangerous until bizarrely made spearhead for long-ball attacks).

Got to agree with the Blackadder comment. Not seen many games but every game I've seen this season all Blackadder has done is give possession back to the opposition with these hopeful punts. He also useless in winning the ball back as he's always standing ball- watching when they've got the ball.

I understand he's supposed to be skillful but the amount of possession he gifts to the other team is unreal. Really frustrating when Jabba's on the bench.

I can't see what the fuss is with Blackadder. I wouldn't play him. Luxury player (if even that)

Shouldn't really single out players on a message board but I was furious at him after breaking free with one defender between him and their keeper - even though he got his shirt pulled but decided it was better to stop and stamp his feet like a little spoilt kid and moan at the referee demanding a foul instead of trying to get on with it in a great position.

Keeper Scores?????? Care to explain.

Sorry St PF but I couldn't disagree more. Blackadder would always get in my team. He is by no means perfect but is better than most midfielders in the league.

He can be frustrating but he is well worth a jersey

...The team on Sky Sports Score centre had Smarty in Goal ...which i found quite amusing...as a result they had Dodds playing left back.

I'm just going by what I've seen. It's going to take hard graft to get out of this league.

He may be skilfull but he's been totally ineffective and not just that but a hinderence to the team in the games I've watched - moves breaking down, not getting stuck in, lethargic movement off the ball.

As I say, I've only seen 6 or so games but he did nothing in all of them.

I'd much rather have Jabba and McDonald in the middle of the park. They work their arses off and have ability to the bargain. They are players we need to get out of this league. They also make better use of the ball and make less mistakes even if they are don't have the 'ability' of Blackadder.

I must admit the Blackadder has not been at his best recently, looks like he has been suffering from the same lack of confidence as everyone else.

When we were going well I thought he was excellent...hopefully now that we have got a couple of wins things will be kickstarted again.

Thanks for the explanation, it seems I was the only one confused by the title of the thread!

Section J - Agree Blackadder has not been at his best recently but to me it is not just due to lack of confidence (which I'm sure he doesn't lack personally).
I think he is actually quite unfit. He is certainly not very mobile or quick. How often this season has he received the ball in the middle of the park with loads of space in front of him but doesn't drive forward with the ball. He always opts to play a long pass or hold the ball up before making a pass.
