Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Moffat

Just read on P&B that he's the favoutite for the Forfar job...

Re: Moffat

Good luck to him.

He'll probably do a lot better with them with the experience he got with us and will have more resources there than he had with us.

Re: Moffat

always felt he never had a fair crack of the whip, once Broon came in...

Re: Moffat

I wish him well. He didn't stand a chance with Broony at the helm. He worked hard for us and gave his all. The playing side of things wasn't pretty and off the field it was a hell of alot worse. I feel that had he been given the resources, he may have done better at the Fife in his last few seasons.

Re: Moffat

Paul Tosh has joined Arbroath until the end of the season.

Could affect us in the play-offs.

Re: Moffat

With Jay Smart in defence we should fear no striker!

Re: Moffat

Jim was appointed Forfar manager this morning

Just saw that, good luck to Jim, hopefully we'll no see him next season though with the Loons coming down and all that...

Re: Moffat

echo that, good luck to the man.

Re: Moffat

GOOD LUCK JM.. HOPE HE DOESN,T TRY AND STEAL ANY OF OUR PLAYERS.

Re: Moffat

All the best Jim. Maybe with a little bit of money to spend and no interfering Chairman behind the scenes he may just prove a lot of people wrong and take Forfar back up next season.

Re: Moffat

good luck Jim

Re: Moffat

Aye, I'd also like to wish Jim all the best in his new job (unless he's playing us). Always felt he came in for some pretty unfair criticism when he was EFFC manager. Always had a smile and a nod for me in the passing. A genuinely friendly guy.

Re: Moffat

All the best to jim moffat. He may not have a back stabbing chairman but he WILL HAVE SPITTING FANS !!!!!!!!!!1.

Re: Moffat

All the best at Forfar JM. Will remember you as a genuine guy who had the job at heart. It was a great pity you had the misfortune to be manager through a very difficult regigm.

Re: Moffat

Not a good day for Moffat, beaten 9,,1 today

Re: Moffat

He was getting pelters.

And on his first day too!!
