Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Play-offs

Best case scenario for us would be -----

Stranraer at home on the Wednesday then a great away day on the Saturday.

Meeting QP in the final with the 1st leg at New Bayview and the 2nd at Hampden on the Saturday --- again another great day out.

Can we fill Hampden??????

Re: Play-offs

No.

Re: Play-offs

But we could give it a good shot.

Re: Play-offs

I'd sooner have a couple of games against Arbroath as there would be a great atmosphere at both matches. Mind you we might even play them in the semis at this rate.

Re: Play-offs

Would much rather have 2 games agaisnt Arbroath.QP away is garbage.Terrible home fans and stewards.
Arbroath or Berwick for me!

Re: Play-offs

Aye, has to be Arbroath! Gayfield is a great wee ground, good fan base and would provide a cracking end to the season. Remember the Cup game against them about 15 years ago? Never heard Bayview as loud as that!

Re: Play-offs

Sorry, has to be Stranraer.
Remember that if we end up playing Arbroath we'll have to play them three times in the space of a week - the last game of the season on 28th April and again on the Wednesday and the following Saturday.
(And anyway, I fancy a weekend in Stranraer )

Re: Play-offs

Forget to say DHAS - yes, I remember the cup game about fifteen years ago. We got gubbed!

Re: Play-offs

Jim 4-1 isnae a gubbing. Ask the Roma team, or better still Jim Moffat what a gubbin' is!
