Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Gibson

I know all the talk is about signing Craig O'Reilly (which has to be a priority), but what's the situation with Graham Gibson?
I think his pace and his forward runs down the right wing have been a real asset to East Fife since he arrived in January. When playing right midfield i.e. not right back, he'a generally looked very impressive I think.

Re: Gibson

Certainly has improved since he arrived and caused Stranraer problems later on in the game with his runs down the wing.

Re: Gibson

have partick thistle freed him then.

Re: Gibson

After a lukewarm start here, he's shown glimpses in the past few weeks of what he can do to defences.
Had a tremendous game on Wed - keep it going GG.

Re: Gibson

On Wednesday night, the Stranraer left back was moaning to his 'keeper because he wanted the ball rolled out to him rather than just be hoofed up the park.
The goalie's reply was "Nah, as soon as I play it out to you, he (Gibson) will be right up yer @rse!"
Seems he really was causing them problems.
A much improved player over the last few games and I wouldn't mind keeping hold of him for next season.

Re: Gibson

If you are going to keep "a hold of him" Jim how is going to play fitbaw

Re: Gibson

for me gibson has not done enough i would rather have martin out on the wing. hope we keep oreilly tho.
