Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Geordie Wonder Boy

Just thinking about right back and kept coming back to Geordie Boy Tam Connor now he was class had two fantastic seasons where he was supposed to be filling the stands with Rangers, Celtic and various English 1st Division (Pre-Premiership) scouts but then he just disappeared. What happened to him???

Also seem to remember he was spotted at the RGC having a kickabout during his peicebreak by Davie Gorman and brought up to Bayview on that display alone.

The rest as they say, is history !!! A bit like the RGC itself and the associated tribes of drunken Geordies getting pissed up at the weekend in Levenmouth

And yes I know I didn't vote for him in the pole, he may of been class but Clarkie is a Legend.

Re: Geordie Wonder Boy

Well........ does anyone know what happened to him???

Re: Geordie Wonder Boy

His boat came in & he got a mackeral!!!

Re: Geordie Wonder Boy

You mean he had a fishie on a little dishie???

Re: Geordie Wonder Boy

Then he had to dance for his daddy and sing for his mammy.

Re: Geordie Wonder Boy

Are you saying he had to dance for his daddy and then sing for his mammy?

Re: Geordie Wonder Boy

Aye, we all heard that Tam Connor filled the stand with scouts from Celtic, Rangers and the top English clubs ... but no-one signed him. Not even a smaller team. He came from non-league football, and went back to non-league football. This will go down like a lead balloon here but while Tam was a good player in his three seasons at Bayview, he wasn't THAT good. He was good by our standards. The rest of his career shows that no-one else fancied him enough to put him in their team.

Re: Geordie Wonder Boy

Aye bonnie lad, ah had to dance for me daddy and then for me mammy sing.
