Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: THE BIG MATCH

I do it every home game, and partake in taking a few spirits, have a few laughs with players such as Billy McPhee,Harry Kinnear,Peter McQuade,Bobby Waddell, and Dougie Soutar.WE CAN DO IT 3-0 TO THE FIFE C'MON,even Keith Gibson is coming through to givwe his support

Re: THE BIG MATCH

Greetings from sunny and warm California.
Someone please correct me if I am mistaken..

In the late 1940's early 1950's I believe East Fife were down 4-1 to Stirling Albion at half time and won the match 6-4.
Therefore the two goal difference is big but no big deal if the team puts their minds to it.

Hopefully the old Bayview ghosts will come through tomorrow and scare the hell out of Queens Park, only wish I could be there in person to see the game.

I will keep up todate on the match via the BBC on the computer.

Lets go Fife and win.

A big hello to the Burger boys and girl also to the supporters who regularly ride the bus to the away games.

Re: THE BIG MATCH

Spooky

Re: THE BIG MATCH

Big Rab - you are absolutely right about the Stirling Albion game, and I'm pretty sure it was at the time when we won the Division 'B' Championship, but I will have to check (can't just now as I'm on my wife's computer!!).
Zak - about enjoying the spirits - absolutely hilarious pal!!!!!!!

Re: THE BIG MATCH

We can do it and with the backing of the fans our dream may come reality.

Re: THE BIG MATCH

How I miss old Bayview, the best wee ground in Scotland...
Really hope we can do this, so c'mon the Fife!!!

Re: THE BIG MATCH

Angus, here's another verse of "Fields" for you in preparation:

On that pitch down by the sea
We've got O'Reilly,
He'd scored a barrel load
In the famous Black 'n Gold
Today his hat trick took us from Division 3.

C'mon Craig. You can do it
