Great site Mimi.. my dad\'s side of the family is from Hornersvile. Don\'t know how the Horners are connected to my Edmondsons, but my great grandmother was an Edmondson, who married a James D. McCleskey and lived next door to Victoria Horner in one of the census, and a Harrison and Amanda Horner was living with Allen Edmonson in the 1870 census.. Also, I am the 3rd gr grand-daughter of Mary Elizabeth Ledbetter Underwood... Love your pages and have visited many times..

Another cousin here, with a question for you. When I look at the census records with Monroe and Nellie Collins, I find Missouri Allred (no wurprise there.) But, I also find another person, Joe Vickers. Do you have any information on him? He's my G-G-Uncle, the brother of Martha Jane Vickers Allred (wife of Wiley Allred.)

Hi, just to let you know, you have Lee Marvin receiving only a purple heart. He also received the Navy Cross on Iwo Jima (same action he was also awarded the purple heart for. His seareant, who he called the bravest man he ever met, was awarded the purple heart and the navy cross for the same action. The Navy Cross is only second to the Congressional Medal Of Honor. Oh, and by the way his Sgt. Was the actor who we all know as "Captain Kangeroo".

You have a very interesting site! I do think I found a geneological error though. I was looking at your Branum/Horner Picture Page and saw a reference to a Joe Brannum, the son of Tommy and Ellen Brannum. You stated that you think Tommy is a grandson of my grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Branum (TJ-4). If that were true he would be my cousin. I am James Stephen Branum, son of Charley Lester Branum and Juanita Lurleen Burk Branum
The Tommy that was the grandson of TJ-4 was Tommy Eugene Branum whose wife was Joan. Their son is Ricky Don Branum. I've never met Joe Brannum although he looks like he could pass for one of my cousins.

I am originally from Hornersville (the son of the late Betty Sue Davis). I am currently stationed in Germany (Army)so I dont get back there as often as I would like to.
