Murder by the book

I just watched this for upteen time and i love the omelette scene as i wish i could make a good omelette. But i noticed a blooper yes i know i watch too closely. Its when Columbo goes to the cupboard to get the bowl out to grate the cheese. You notice there is already cheese in the bowl. You can just see it as he carries it back to the worktop. Then went Franklin arrive the omelette no longer of importance but if you look closely you can see it burning away in the background with no one in attendance. It show on the dvd version but on the youtube one the screen is cut so wide so not in view.

Re: Murder by the book

There were a few episodes where Columbo does some cooking.

Re: Murder by the book

Random trivia about the omelette scene. In the original script, he says the secret to a good omelette is "all eggs, no milk". In the version that airs, he says "all milk, no eggs", which causes the woman to laugh. Unknown is whether that was a mistake by Falk or an improvisation.
