Janis Paige 1922-2024

Actress Janis Paige who pla*** Goldie Williamson in "Blueprint for Murder" has died aged 101

Is she the longest lived Columbo guest star?

Re: Janis Paige 1922-2024

I would think so. Dick Van **** is currently 98, so he has a shot.

I thought she was terrific in "A Blueprint for Murder". Glad she had such a long and fruitful life.

Re: Janis Paige 1922-2024

She was great.

Along with everything else, the friendly relationship between Goldie and Jennifer is believable.
(I get so tired of the "first wife and second wife who hate each other" tradition.)

Re: Janis Paige 1922-2024

Her forte was musicals and wouldn't have looked out of place in Forgotten Lady!

Re: Janis Paige 1922-2024

I'm afraid I've never really known her from them. The only one I can name is the Martin and Lewis comedy LIVING IT UP (with Grace Wheeler herself, Janet Leigh), and I think that that's one single scene.
It's funny that in one scene Goldie is dressed in something like a Broadway musical costume, which looks like some little reference to that.

Re: Janis Paige 1922-2024

I think I was wrong about that film. I think it was Sheree North (SOMEONE ELSE that I don't really know from her musical career).
