I remember those beams at Kef well. Especially the time I had to record 21 (or was it 22) doppler events in the space of 15-20 minutes as a prelude to spring ops.
Good video. I remember seeing a picture of one of those sitting on the tarmac at the Nato base in Iceland. This was of course after we left. Sad to see, but it is a good airplane from what I have learned. Just some new off the shelf equipment and anything can be made new again.
I remember (either in late 1980/spring 1981), seeing a Bear coming in for a landing escorted by two Marine F-6s one day on my way back to the NavFac at lunch time. Seems they had a problem requiring an emergency landing. Didn't stay long but as soon as they taxied out to leave, the marines were once again right up their tail. Frog

This may be old info but by now we know it isn't the "veggie plane landing in BDA"

So does any one remember the day the Commissary Plane
came into NAS BDA???? I actually know the correct answer because of my two tours and being PA/QA LCPO and OPS LCPO.

I asked Myra....we are pretty sure the fresh milk came into BDA on Thursday (1971-1974. Untill then, it was "filled milk" only available at the commissary.
