Food for thought

As I get older I find myself having a harder time recalling information stored in the recesses of my mind. This is most evident in this forum when we receive sad news of a shipmate’s passing. I recall a persons name and know that we were stationed together somewhere at some point but putting that name to that place and time often escapes me. With the exception of those individuals whom we have been stationed with at several locations or who have had a significant impact on our lives, I think that is likely true with most of us. I’m not sure if what I am about to propose has ever been considered but here’s my thought. What about a page that shows the duty stations and time frame you were stationed there? The following is my information:

1970 - 1972: NavFac Bermuda
1972 - 1973: NavFac Grand Turk
1973 - 1975: Navfac Argentia
1975 - 1978: COSP Ford Island
1978 - 1980: NavFac Antigua
1980 - 1983: NavFac Brawdy
1983 - 1985: NavFac Guam
1985 - 1989: Navfac Bermuda
1989 - 1990: NAS Jacksonville
1990 - Present: Retired (sort of)

Re: Food for thought 👍🏽👍🏽

Good morning Jim,
If someone could compile a list of all/most major duty stations and email it to me I could compile some sort of spread sheet. I'm glad to see that my thought has sparked a bit of interest.

John
