I am sad to report that Ex-Lt Emmett P. Bonner III passed over the bar on 16 May 2023. Cause of death was advanced cancer which was without symptoms until a few weeks before the end. Emmett served in the System at NAVFAC Argentia and at NAVFAC Lewes during the period 1968 to 1972. Emmett and I met at FSS Key West in 1968 and we were on the same flight to Argentia in December of 1968. Both of us bought a VW Beetle in St. Johns and were neighbors at the Argentia BOQ.
