Thanks for your post Jim and posting on Facebook. Definitely a worthwhile cause. Hope the goal is reached. Hope to get to that museum one of these days. We used to go to Vint Hill commissary when we lived in Fairfax from 82-85.
Just curious: Do you know if there has been any further news/progress on authorization of a Cold War Medal/ribbon? I think we (and many others) did our part, but not always recognized - at least in wider circles.
Not sure why I'm rambling on about this. Never talked about it before - and way too old to care much about it myself. Just a thought.

Yes they did. Anyone who served from September 2nd 1945 through December 26th 1991 and spent at least 24 consecutive months during this period and were deployed outside the United States for at least 30 days are eligible. If you do a search of military medals you can purchase one for $3.50 if you so desire. It is actually a pretty sharp looking medal.
