Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well. I come across OTC Jim Shroyer's obituary today. I noticed he was not on the Memorial Page. His obit was posted in 2022. He was my RTF instructor when it was at Centerville. The link is: https://www.providencejournal.com/obituaries/ppvp0171655
The obit said he entered service in 1959 and retired in 1983. I had left Centerville in 1982 and that was the last time I saw him.

Jim and I worked together at Lewes in the mid-70’s along with a few guys who are still kicking around. Ed Haven, Tom Uecker, Dave Mills come to mind.

I was brand new to the command when my first son was born and Jim gave me 2-weeks basket leave. Never forgot that.

Thanks for the notification, Boz. Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. OTC Jim Shroyer was one of my many supervisors at RTF CVB (1979-1982). He was also lead prosecutor at my Chief's initiation at NAVFAC/RTF Centerville Beach in September 1981. I have a few photos of that "Gala" event somewhere around here! 🔱⚓
