I am writing an article about NavFac Grand Turk. I was stationed there 1966-1967. I have recent photos of the NavFac and they show a 2 story addition to the left part of the BOQ and a wing off the center of the enlisted barracks. I am curious if these additions were constructed to accommodate women when they were assigned to Grand Turk in the mid 1970s. Or these additions may have been added after the base was turned over to the government of the Turks & Caicos Islands in 1980.

Do you know anything about these two additions to the BOQ and enlisted barracks? Do you know what year women were first assigned to NavFac Grand Turk?
